The underwater world has now become accessible to everyone! You literally take a walk on the bottom of the ocean and you experience for the first time in your life how beautiful the underwater world actually is. These beautiful fauna, corals and wide variety of fish can all be seen in their own natural habitat. It actually feels like you're walking around in an aquarium. There is no need to remove your glasses or contact lenses, as your head will remain completely dry. And to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, an experienced diver will accompany you during the walk.
Helmet diving Curaçao is located on the idyllic small beach of Marie Pampoen, directly next to Mambo Beach and about 10 minutes by car from Willemstad. A really authentic small beach where the fishermen still sail out with their boats and local children receive swimming lessons in the weekends. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
Amazing experience! The guides make you feel safe, and the tour itself is just so different and out of this world. Who would have thought you could walk comfortably underwater and your hair and face would stay dry? So many fish to see! Definitely do this again!
Beforehand, I felt a combination of nerves and excitement. The latter lingered with me the entire time. The very clear and reassuring instructions made me completely forget my tension. The experience itself was a once-in-a-lifetime experience—half an hour. It's hard to put into words what we saw and felt. From the diversity of fish to coral, and even the feeling of the water around us, it was amazing.
The boys kept an eye on us the whole time by observing and using communication boards, we learned during the short briefing beforehand.
I disagree with other recommendations about destroying the coral, they were very vigilant about staying on the path and also by signs telling us to stay away from it.
We could see that the boys were very passionate about their work and seemed to enjoy it as well.
Being able to walk on the seabed while still breathing, amazing, isn't it? A unique experience you definitely shouldn't miss. This is incredibly fun. Thank you so much for the excellent guidance, photos, and luring the fish right up to our noses. We'd love to do this again! It's great that the last-minute booking went so smoothly.
How cool is it to experience what the divers see without diving? You don't even need to be able to swim, and your hair stays in the Krul. They clearly explain what's going to happen and how the system works. Simply walk into the water from the beach; the helmets are already waiting. You'll be guided very well during the trek. You'll see many different kinds of fish, and a beautifully edited video will even be made as a souvenir.
In short: highly recommended!
