Sint Maarten offers you everything you expect from a holiday. Relaxation, discovery, inspiration & fun! Sint Maarten is a tropical paradise with pristine beaches, green nature and almost always beautiful sunny weather. Sint Maarten is the world's smallest area divided by two countries: the island has had a Dutch and a French part since the year 1648, resulting in a special mix of cultures. On this beautiful island you can relax, here you can enjoy yourself to the fullest. And what makes you come back again? The friendly people of St. Martin…
Activities Sint Maarten
When the plane starts its descent to Princes Juliana International Airport, your holiday starts with a spectacular landing on this beautiful tropical island. Sint Maarten is the Dutch part of the island, where mainly English is spoken. This part of the island is buzzing with life, events and activities. Immerse yourself in the bustle of the capital Philipsburg, take beautiful walks, take a dip in the clear blue water and taste flavors from all over the world. Would you like to completely relax? Then cross the border to the quieter French part of St. Martin.
Transportation on Sint Maarten
The island is ideal for exploring by rental car. Traffic is more courteous than in Europe, roads are generally good and distances are limited. The number of roads is also quite limited, making getting lost almost impossible. The prices for rental cars depend very much on the travel season, the time of booking and where you book your car. There are more than ten car rental companies on the island. Almost all of them have a counter at Juliana Airport.
Nature on Sint Maarten
Nature consists of beautiful beaches, a hilly interior and idyllic lagoons with mangroves as a unique feature. A great destination for a sun holiday or a nature holiday. The north of the island is French, the smaller south is an independent country in the Dutch kingdom. And already upon arrival, whether by sea or from the air, it is noticeable that the nature on the east side of the island is also completely different from the nature on the west side.
