Seru Largu means 'long hill' in Papiamento. Seru Largu is the fourth highest mountain in Bonaire. On Bonaire, Seru Largu is locally known as 'the mountain'. During this walking tour with an experienced local guide you will discover the beautiful flora and fauna around this hill. The start is at the Millennium Monument. This relatively easy walking tour takes about approx. 2 hours. You get a beautiful view over Kralendijk, Tras di Montaña and the east coast. There are beautiful Brazil trees along the route.

The start is at the Millennium Monument which reads “Kristu Ayera Awe Semper” which translates to “Christ yesterday, today forever”. The white cross on the monument can be seen from almost anywhere on Bonaire, making it a handy landmark. The top offers a fantastic view from a height of 125m.
During the walk, the local guide will tell you about the history and unique flora & fauna of Bonaire. Regular visitors to the hill are two species of parrots and other local birds. You will also hear a variety of lizards rustling in the bushes and of course the iguanas in the trees. The chance that you will encounter wild goats is there as well because of their continuous search for food.
The branches of the trees on the hill have a special structure due to the constant north-east winds on the island. It is interesting to see how many trees are shaped in the same direction. The sage bush is also plentiful in this area.
