Your first introduction to the fascinating underwater world of Curaçao takes place on the house reef at Jan Thiel Beach, where a PADI qualified instructor first teaches you basic safety guidelines and shows you how to properly use the diving equipment before taking you underwater to discover the house reef.

Have you always wondered what it feels like to breathe underwater? If you want to dive, but are not quite ready to take a diving course, this Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect way to try! This professional diving school offers you a program on their house reef on Jan Thiel Beach, where a PADI qualified instructor will teach you basic safety guidelines and show you how to use your diving equipment properly. After some underwater practice and getting used to breathing underwater, the instructor will show you the house reef on your first dive!
While Discover Scuba Diving is not a scuba diving course, this is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. After this dive you will receive a certificate that is valid for two weeks. If you decide to continue with an Open Water dive course, the introductory dive counts as the first lesson.
