As you steer your kayak across the sparkling waters, experience an adventure that will make your heart beat faster on the Kayak Lagoon Tour. Even as a beginner you are more than welcome as we start with a thorough safety briefing and a quick paddling introduction. It's all about teamwork!
Starting from the beautiful Kim Sha Beach, we venture into the vast Caribbean ocean before bravely crossing the canal under the majestic bridge and entering the enchanting Simpson Bay Lagoon. As we traverse the channel you can almost touch the rocks, where we'll point out crabs and, if you're lucky, an iguana or two.
As we paddle further through the lagoon, we reveal the peerless megayachts that proudly moor at various marinas along the lagoon's coastline (the megayacht season extends from November to April). After about half an hour of kayaking, we reach our turning point – an enchanting place full of mangroves where we take a well-deserved break. Here our expert guides will point out intriguing sea creatures, such as the remarkable Upside Down Jellyfish and the peculiar sea cucumbers that thrive in these shallow waters. Keep your eyes peeled for tarpon hunting and you might spot the rare gray and blue herons that make their home in these tranquil refuges.
Back under the majestic bridge, we send our kayaks, weather permitting, to beautiful Simpson Bay Beach. Here we enjoy a refreshing swim to stretch our muscles before returning to Kim Sha Beach.
