The mangrove vegetation of Lac Bay in the southeast of Bonaire is the nursery of marine life in the Caribbean Sea of Bonaire. Many baby fish live among the mangroves such as parrot fish, tarpon, puffer fish and barracuda. This protected area is a unique ecosystem. It also is an important breeding ground for many exotic birds.

Prachtige ervaring, leuke dag op het eiland!
Leuke activiteit in een prachtige omgeving. Mangroves zijn betoverend en onze gids Tijmen was helemaal top! Hij vertelde veel informatie, grapje hier en daar en hield rekening met iedereen. Aanrader!!!!
Thymen is een topper. Geweldige gids, kreeg alle in en outs van de mangroves. Super gezellige en leerzame tour. Echt de moeite waard. Deze man verdient een raise. Kreeg nog een extra stroopwafel door een zee ster gespot te hebben. Groetjes
Leuke ervaring voor een keer, snorkelen is heel anders dan in zee, mooi om te zien. De tunneltjes inde mangroves ook leuk. Wel beetje eentonig. Gids wist veel te vertellen, dat maakte t wel extra leuk en waardevol!
Ik vond de tour leuk en leerzaam. Mooie omgeving! Stan was een fijne gids die iedereen betrok bij de tour.
Als tip zou ik zeggen: neem waterschoentjes mee. Dit stond niet in de mail, maar is wel fijn (en toegestaan). Ook vond ik het jammer dat wij ruim op tijd waren en dat we later vertrokken omdat er toch werd gewacht op laatkomers, terwijl er in de mail stond dat dit niet zou gebeuren.
De gids Stan heeft ons op een grappige en leerzame wijze door de prachtige Mangrove van Bonaire geleid.
Vooral een pluim voor onze gids Stan, die ons veel kon vertellen over de diversiteit aan flora en fauna die in de Mangrove aanwezig zijn.
Aan alles kon je merken dat hij heel veel respect voor de natuur heeft, waar wij zeer zuinig op moeten zijn.
Hij heeft ons een onvergetelijke dag bezorgd.
